What Students Say
“As a teacher, Rob has an incredible ability to point to the exact inhibitions that are holding me back in my work. And because every session is tailored to the individual needs of each student, the material I worked on every time presented a unique set of challenges that allowed me to grow. My confidence and freedom in my acting has grown exponentially since taking Rob’s class.”
Karolina May, actor
” I took my first acting class with Rob and ever since, I have taken multiple scene study classes (including at prestigious studios in New York) and this is definitely the best class I have ever taken. What is unique about this class is that you can’t fake it because Rob ALWAYS knows. He challenges and makes you get out of your comfort zone. I love it – Rob is a genius!’
Daniela Rodriguez Restrepo, actor
“Taking Rob’s class has, quite literally, changed my life. Coming from a dance background, I never seriously considered acting as a career. But Rob creates a fearless space in every class, giving us each detailed notes while also allowing us the independence to find the character ourselves.”
Jennifer Nelson, actor and dancer
“With lots of sincerity, passion, and love, Rob helps actors organically and emotionally find the best versions of themselves, providing them with all the necessary tools to explore all inside and outside possibilities. The amount of knowledge and experience that he brings to the table is immeasurable.”
Sandra McClean, actor
“I have taken multiple acting classes across New York City and truly none can compare to the Sedgwick Studios scene study course, both in terms of value and quality education. It is obvious that Rob is invested in the success of each student, he holds all of us to a high standard and challenges us to deeply strengthen our craft. After only five weeks, every student leaves the class as a significantly better actor.”
Katherine Forbes, actor
“I’ve been training with Rob for about 3 years and it’s been (hands-down) one of the BEST experiences that I’ve ever had! I’ve not only grown as an actor but also as a person. Somehow, he finds the perfect balance of kindness and hardcore honesty when delivering his critiques.”
